Tires
How to choose the right tires for your vehicle? We'll show the difference between tire types, then steer you in the right direction.
Alignment
Save your tires before it’s too late! Correct alignment is critical to safely controlling your vehicle, braking stability, extending tire life, and ensuring a comfortable ride. Snowy winters wreak havoc on the roads, leaving them with potholes as major contributor to the misalignment of your wheels. This can diminish the life of your tires by causing rapid and uneven treadwear. Properly aligned wheels improve driver safety, enhance your driving control, increase fuel efficiency and maximize the life of your tires.
Engines
Our commitment to reliable engine repair service has set us apart as a trusted auto clinic in North Andover, MA. We pride ourselves on the high standard of quality we work hard to maintain. Tune-ups
How often is a tune-up needed? Service requirements vary from vehicle to vehicle, and can also vary based on vehicle mileage and age. You can find your vehicle manufacturer-recommended schedule for tune-ups and other maintenance in your vehicle owner’s manual. To perform a basic engine tune-up we go through a series of inspections:
-
Inspect the engine’s fuel-system components, fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel injectors
-
Inspect the spark plugs, check performance to make sure they are functioning properly
-
Replace your vehicle’s points and condenser if needed
-
Check and adjust the ignition timing and idle if needed
-
Check the engine’s PCV valve
-
Check the vehicle’s engine air filter and cabin air filter
-
Check oil and coolant levels
Diagnostic
With the complexity of today's vehicle, it often takes a highly skilled technician with advanced level tools to get to the root cause of the problem. Our auto diagnostic testing service takes the guess work out repairing your vehicle.
We utilize industry leading diagnostic software, which accesses the car’s reporting and computer system where any problems are monitored and faults are logged. Performing a car diagnostic test can reveal a range of problems associated with the car’s transmission, oil tank, petrol tank, exhaust system and various other components of the car. Many modern cars now come with computer processors, microchips and sensors, which can be linked to our diagnostic computer scanner.
This diagnostic service should be performed when you are experiencing drivability issues, reduced fuel economy, have a check engine or service engine soon light illuminated/or flashing.
Transmissions
We know that transmission problems can be confusing and a bit overwhelming for the average automobile owner. Many problems turn out to need only minor repairs. As transmissions repair specialists, we strive to make sure your transmission gets all the repairs that it needs, and none that it doesn't.
Exhaust
Your vehicle’s exhaust system is a complex system of parts underneath your vehicle that help siphon noxious odors and gasses from your vehicle, quiet the noise of your engine and reduce the car’s impact on the environment. If you find you can’t hear the person next to you or need to crank the radio to hear, you may have a problem with your exhaust. Like most other car-related systems, routine maintenance on your vehicle’s exhaust system will help save you from replacing the entire exhaust system down the road.
Oil & Lube
One of the simplest, most effective and inexpensive ways to help protect the life of your car, especially its engine, is to change the oil and the oil filter regularly. Oil is the lifeblood of your engine. It reduces friction, lessens wear, provides lubrication, forms a seal between the pistons, rings and cylinder walls while helping to cool engine parts. Without the cleaning action of new oil, carbon and varnish buildup would be toxic to the engine.
While you’re with us, ask us to perform a routine check of the following items:
-
Engine air filter
-
Brake fluid
-
Power steering fluid
-
Automatic transmission fluid
-
Coolant/antifreeze
